Conception, pregnancy and the growth of the infant takes place in many cases without outside intervention. Your baby’s cells start to divide, specialize into different body parts at the right time during the pregnancy. 
Prenatal care monitors this normal progress, identifies possible risk factors that may need specialty care and ensures that both mom and baby are progressing safely towards birth. Prenatal care is sequenced throughout the pregnancy based on the trimester of pregnancy.

At each stage your Midwife will support you through expectations, common discomforts, infant care, breast feeding, dietary recommendations, and referrals as needed. This support will also include a complete physical, blood work, ultrasound and medication prescriptions as needed. We will also include some traditional herbs that are commonly used and are known to be safe during pregnancy and labor.
