Picture It; Contractions have started and have become regular; your doula is already by your side helping you breathe through the contractions and helping to message your back. Your Midwife is intermittently monitoring your baby’s heart rate and contraction patterns and all is progressing nicely. You feel like moving to water bath to alleviate some of the pressure you have started to feel. You glance over your shoulder and through the cracked door you see the baby’s crib that you have had arranged about four times before it was just right. Your eye catches the stroller that you can’t wait to go out for an early morning stroll. You smile and think to yourself, ‘I’m so happy, I chose to have a home birth’.
